Adsense Niche Blogs - Money Making Content

Adsense Niche Blogging is FUN and PROFITABLE. It provides you with the ability to "go crazy" learning and posting about subjects of popularity. You can develop residual income from click ads, affiliate programs and advertisers. Best of all, your blog is a tool where you can help people because each niche blog is a resource for someone's genuine interest. The challenge is in making a "good" Adsense Niche Blog.

You have to do it right in order to make money from the start.

This sounds easier than sometimes done; just like an excellent business idea that flops because of poor planning or laziness. I sadly admit that I have done this before when testing a strategy. I launched a blog or page, and then let it sit until I could work on it again. It ends up taking more work to correct the issues when I come back to work on it. Meanwhile, had I just set all up from the start, the blog could have been useful to others and making money while I was away ... Adsense Niche Blogging takes planning. It also takes good SEO Internet Marketing strategies to place that blog on "autopilot" while you either developing more content or moving on to another project for a while.

I have a friend that is learning how to develop and monetize blogs with Adsense.

He is getting great traffic, though did not understand why he was not getting the conversions he needs to make money. We compared stats and went over his blogs. I thought that I would share some details that came to mind and worked; just in case this will help someone else do better with an Adsense Niche Blog they are developing. Sometimes it takes another set of eyes of to get those pay per ads to produce twice as much.

These pointers are not anything new; just overlooked at times when you are moving fast.

(The following assumes that you have already found your niche, keywords and started blogging.)

#1 - It should not look like it was created for Google Adsense.

This is something that will be obvious to other bloggers, but not to your site visitors.

When a user or search engine comes to your blog, the Google Ads should not be the first and only content noticed at the top of your page. Your Adsense Niche Blog should be aesthetically pleasing to your human visitors. It should also begin with some substance in the eyes of the search engines.

In other words, we should not come to your blog to find a Title and two blocks of text ads in top view of the pages. You are going to have to do better than that! If not, someone will report it as useless - especially if your blog launch has temporarily ranked you in there spot (know what I mean?)

Additionally, I know that Google says that we "May not place misleading images alongside individual ads", but they do not say not to use images at all. It is OK to place an image next to text ads. It looks better than leaving the area with no content. Plus, your ALT will provide a little content. Just keep the attribute clean and the image relevant; you will have no problems at all.

#2 - Google provides a suggested placement chart, but it is your blog.

Yes, Google has laid the law of proper ad placement, but if an ad location does not fit with the design of your page, STOP being so greedy and do what is best for your blog. There have also been times when I wanted to place three ads on a page and only 2 worked. It was just how it ended up for that design. You either have to change the layout / design or pick the better of the locations and "go for it". Be flexible for your audience and not just the dollars. They will come.

You can always fill in with other ads that will pay or use a variety of what Google permits:

* 3 standard ad units
* 3 link units
* 2 search boxes
* 1 video unit

#3 - Adjust the content to make the ads do what you want them to do.

This topic makes me think of Rupal's Supermodel song ("you better work ... work it girl ...").

If you want to make the money and get subscribers, you have to work your content.

I am not referring to the same old "quality content" that we all know that our blogs need. There are a few more details that can help your blog get the higher paying ads and more users to click them. For example, if your Adsense Niche Blog has been active for a while, then you can use behavioral targeting resources.

If this is not the case, then try the following:

1 Get a demographic estimate on your target markets (both Google & MSN have this tool).
2 Brainstorm for what you think are their subjects of interest based on those estimates (take the top 2)?
3 Think about which of those interests are relevant, though would not conflict, with your personal market.
3 Research the keywords for those non-conflicting though relevant subjects & put in content near he ads.
5 Use those Adsense search boxes and videos to your advantage.
6 Don't ignore the power of the ALT attribute and the "Additional keywords to consider".
7 You can even have Adsense Ads on your feed.

It is not just about increasing the click, but getting clicks from the ads that are going to pay you more. It is also about making your Adsense Niche Blog one that you visitors will come back to even if what they liked best was from the text ads. They will remember that it was your blog.

It is more than just the money that lets you know when you have done your job right. It is also when your Adsense Niche Blog begins to generate traffic for your other resources (affiliate programs, social profiles, websites, other niche blogs, etc), builds a list of subscribers, receives comments and word of mouth referrals. Those are the perks as well as that residual income generated by monetizing your niche blog. The best is when it maintains itself for spans that are longer than a general blog.

All are incentives for investing your time and developing a valuable Adsense Niche Blog for your market.
